Here is how the pay adds up: multiply your hourly rate by weekly hours for $20.00 × 40 hours = $800.00 per week. Multiplying by 52 weeks gives $800.00 × 52 = $41,600.00 per year.
Dividing that annual salary by 12 months produces $41,600.00 ÷ 12 = $3,466.666..., which rounds to $3,466.67 per month. A biweekly check comes out to $800.00 × 2 = $1,600.00, and dividing weekly pay across a five-day workweek yields $800.00 ÷ 5 = $160.00 per workday. Honestly, seeing that every $1 raise amounts to about $2,000 a year puts your next performance review in clear perspective.
